Resulta muy complicado sonar a (casi) nada reconocible, una especie de punto cero de ignición. Eso mismo han hecho ALMA, camuflados tras un proyecto que puede presumir de haber surgido con una fortaleza inaudita. INVIERNO TOTALITARIO (Grabaciones Perdidas 2019), su primer disco, está alimentando una hoguera que en las tierras del norte comenzaba a apagarse por medio de una mezcla de canciones-himno (manifiestos hablados y, sobre todo, narrados, entre bases industriales y capas sonoras) y disco-conceptual. Un blanco glacial que ilustra no solamente la portada sino el hermoso arte de un disco editado de forma lujosa como tríptico de atrocidades y espantos con la capacidad de convertir objetos de uso cotidiano (un reloj, una armónica, una navaja) en objetos realmente amenazantes. Las piezas musicales parecen pensadas como si fuesen manifiestos de rabia hacia la alienación, pero a un tipo de dominio y control cotidianos y, por tanto, constantes.
INVIERNO TOTALITARIO es un álbum de 8 piezas compuesto, tocado y grabado por ALMA y mezclado por Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten) en Studio 65. Masterizado para Vinilo por Simon Davey en ‘The Exchange’, para CD por Michael Schwabe en ‘Monoposto’ y para Digital por Carlos Koschitzky en ‘Koschitzky-Mastering’.

Deluxe: Vinilo de 180 gramos en triple carpeta desplegable + CD + poster formato tríptico desplegable con el texto: ‘Emisoras de onda corta’ por Servando Rocha vs ALMA + letras + pegatina.

It is very complicated to sound like (almost) nothing recognizable, a kind of zero point of ignition. This is what ALMA have done, camouflaged after a project that can boast having emerged with an unprecedented strength. INVIERNO TOTALITARIO (Grabaciones Perdidas 2019), their first album, is feeding a bonfire that in the northern lands began to be extinguished by means of a mixture of hymn-songs (spoken manifests and, above all, narrated, between industrial bases and sound layers) and conceptual album. A glacial white that illustrates not only the cover but the beautiful art of a record released in a luxurious way as a triptych of atrocities and frights with the ability to turn everyday objects (a clock, an harmonica, a razor) into really threatening objects. The musical pieces seem designed as if they were manifests of anger towards alienation, but to a type of everyday mastery and control, and therefore constant.
